Ducks

The mockingbird serenades the willow tree
Into a trance
The tree sways
And its twigs move in the wind

The ducks hear its song
And waltz
Under the twinkling lights
And the pale moon

They glide in the crystal waters
And welcome the breeze
Through their silky wet feathers
Inviting anyone to join them

Darkness slowly fades into dawn
The ducks stop their waltz
And continue another day
